Darstellungsmatrizen für verschiedene Basen

Sei f:V→Wf:V\rightarrow W mit V=W=R2V=W=\domRZwei die folgende lineare Abbildung: (x,y)↦(x+2y,3x+4y)(x,y)\mapto (x+2y,3x+4y). Wir suchen die Darstellungsmatrizen dieser Abbildung für verschiedene Basen BB von VV und CC von WW.

Beispiel 1

Sei B=CB=C die Standardbasis bestehend aus den Einheitsvektoren e1=(10)e_1=\pmatrix{1 \\ 0} und e2=(01)e_2=\pmatrix{0\\ 1}.
Es gilt dann: f (10)=(13)=1⋅(10)+3⋅(01)f\, \pmatrix{1\\ 0}=\pmatrix{1\\ 3}=1\cdot\pmatrix{1\\ 0} +3\cdot \pmatrix{0\\ 1} und f (01)=(24)=2⋅(10)+4⋅(01)f\, \pmatrix{0\\ 1}=\pmatrix{2\\ 4}=2\cdot\pmatrix{1\\ 0} +4\cdot \pmatrix{0\\ 1}. Die Darstellungsmatrix ist damit: M(f)=(1234)M(f)=\pmatrix{1& 2\\3& 4}.
 
 

Beispiel 2

Nehmen wir BB als Standardbasis und für CC die Basis: (13)\pmatrix{1\\ 3}, (24)\pmatrix{2\\ 4}. In diesem Fall ergibt sich f (10)=(13)=1⋅(13)+0⋅(24)f\, \pmatrix{1\\ 0}=\pmatrix{1\\ 3}=1\cdot\pmatrix{1\\ 3} +0\cdot \pmatrix{2\\ 4} und f (01)=(24)=0⋅(13)+1⋅(24)f\, \pmatrix{0\\ 1}=\pmatrix{2\\ 4}=0\cdot\pmatrix{1\\ 3} +1\cdot \pmatrix{2\\ 4} und in diesem Fall ist die Darstellungsmatrix die Einheitsmatrix: MB,C(f)=(1001)M_{B,C}(f)=\pmatrix{{1} &0\\0 &{1}}.

Beispiel 3

Arbeiten wir schließlich mit B=CB=C als (13)\pmatrix{1\\ 3}, (24)\pmatrix{2\\ 4}. Es ist f (13)=(715)=1⋅(13)+3⋅(24)f\, \pmatrix{1\\ 3}=\pmatrix{7\\ {15}}=1\cdot\pmatrix{1\\ 3} +3\cdot \pmatrix{2\\ 4} und f (24)=(822)=2⋅(13)+4⋅(24)f\, \pmatrix{2\\ 4}=\pmatrix{8\\ {22}}=2\cdot\pmatrix{1\\ 3} +4\cdot \pmatrix{2\\ 4} und nun ist die Darstellungsmatrix wie in Beispiel 1: M(f)=(1234)M(f)=\pmatrix{1& 2\\3& 4}.

Beispiel 4

Dass in Beispiel 1 und 3 die Darstellungsmatrix die Matrix (1234)\pmatrix{1& 2\\3& 4} war, lag an den speziell gewählten Basen. Die Gleichheit der Basen reicht dafür in der Regel nicht aus.
Wählt man als Basis B=CB=C: (11)\pmatrix{1\\ 1}, (12)\pmatrix{1\\ 2}, so ergibt sich f (11)=(37)=−1⋅(11)+4⋅(12)f\, \pmatrix{1\\ 1}=\pmatrix{3\\ 7}=\me\cdot\pmatrix{1\\ 1} +4\cdot \pmatrix{1\\ 2} und f (12)=(37)=−1⋅(11)+6⋅(12)f\, \pmatrix{1\\ 2}=\pmatrix{3\\ 7}=\me\cdot\pmatrix{1\\ 1} +6\cdot \pmatrix{1\\ 2} und die Darstellungsmatrix M(f)=(−14−16)M(f)=\pmatrix{{\me} &4\\ \me & {6}}.

Alle Pädagogen sind sich darin einig: man muß vor allem tüchtig Mathematik treiben, weil ihre Kenntnis fürs Leben größten direkten Nutzen gewährt.
